Tamer El Said

Biography
Tamer El Said is a filmmaker living in Cairo where he was born in 1972. He studied filmmaking at the High Cinema Institute Cairo and journalism at Cairo University. He went on to make many documentaries and short films that received several awards. Tamer founded Zero Production in 2007 to produce independent films. He also founded, along with others, Cinematheque – Alternative Film Centre in Egypt. In the Last Days of the City is his first feature-length film.

Jennifer Reeder

Biography
Jennifer Reeder constructs personal films about relationships, trauma and coping. Her award-winning narratives are innovative and borrow from a range of forms, including after school specials, amateur music videos and magical realism. Her films have shown consistently around the world, including the Sundance Film Festival, The Berlin International Film Festival, The Venice Biennale and The Whitney Biennial.

The Little Bird and the Caterpillar

Synopsis
The little bird has plenty of peace and quiet high up in its tree, at least until an unexpected guest shows up. The brash caterpillar’s keen on devouring the green leaves that the little bird has cared for so tenderly. During the ensuing showdown, the two fail to notice that someone else is hard on their heels, and this character’s craving a more savoury snack.

The little Bird and the Squirrel

Synopsis 
It’s autumn. At the end of a branch hangs a yellow leaf. A little black bird comes along to water it. Suddenly a squirrel nicks the birds bright green watering can. The bird follows the cheeky thief. This is the start of an exciting chase through the forest. But behind the trees the fiery red fox is already waiting for his chance.

Mr Hublot

Synopsis
Mr Hublot lives in a world where characters made partially of mechanical parts, driving huge vehicles, rub shoulders with each other. A withdrawn, idiosyncratic character with OCD, Mr Hublot is scared of change and the outside world. His solution: he does not step foot outside his apartment! The arrival of the dog Robot Pet will turn his life upside down: he has to share his home with this very invasive companion...

Gaza Surf Club

Synopsis
Trapped in "the world's largest open-air prison" and ruled by war, a new generation is drawn to the beaches. Sick of occupation and political gridlock, they find their own personal freedom in the waves of the Mediterranean Sea. They are the surfers of Gaza.

Marta Magnuska

Biography
Marta Magnuska lives and studies in Łódź. Animator, director, illustrator. She graduated from the Faculty of Graphics and Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź with a diploma in editorial design and illustration. She participated in student exchange programs with Universidade de Belas-Artes in Lisbon and Animationsinstitut Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in Ludwigsburg.
