In A Thousand Silences

In A Thousand Silences is a virtual reality experience celebrating Palestinian cultural resistance whilst highlighting the brutal censorship of artists. Using the latest digital technology, audiences are immersed in locations across Palestine, from the desert to the mountains, Jenin Refugee Camp and theatres, both ancient and new. Combining dance, music, poetry، and storytelling with performances from some of Palestine's most renowned artists, including actor Mohammad Bakri, musician Suhail Khoury, and poet Dareen Tatour.

Coming Home (Slot 2)

Synopsis

Coming Home follows Freedom Dabka Group - a collective of Palestinian-American dancers, living in Bay Ridge (Brooklyn) who use Dabka as a way to connect to their community and homeland. Shot on 16mm under the unique constraints of 2020-21, featuring archive photography from The Palestinian Museum.

Synopsis

Beirut: Eye of the Storm

Synopsis

It’s October 2019, and four young women artists are documenting the uprising in Beirut. They are journalist Hanine, Iraqi camera woman Lujain, and Noel and Michelle, two artist sisters whose often-ironic songs have made them a voice for their generation. The prevailing mood is one of hope and change. But a few months later, Covid-19 has locked down the city, and all optimism seems to have evaporated.
