Sarah Schlüssel

Sarah joined the Berlin International Film Festival in 2013. After working for the Berlinale Co-Production Market, she has been the assistant of the curator of Berlinale Shorts since autumn 2014. She is also the coordinator of Days of Cinema. Sarah studied Cultural Studies at Goldsmiths College in London and Latin American Studies at the University of Cologne.

Marion Schmidt

Marion is the Events & Award Manager of DOX BOX, the Project Manager of the organisation’s online portal, and one of the co-founders of the association. Previously, she acted as the Administrative Head of the organisation. An experienced cultural project manager, Marion has worked in various areas across Europe and the Middle East at institutions such as the Goethe-Institut, Cairo; European Film Market, Berlin and Social Enterprise UK, London.

Ala Eddine Slim

Ala Eddine Slim was born in 1982. He is the co-founder of Exit Productions. He has carried out several trainings at different workshops and made several short films. His film The Last of Us won the prestigious Lion of the Future award at Venice Film Festival 2016.
 

Rasmus Stenbæk Iversen

Rasmus Stenbæk Iversen is a Danish film critic and journalist, born in Denmark in 1991 and currently living in Copenhagen. Master of Arts in Film & Media Studies and Danish Literature from University of Copenhagen in 2017. Since 2014 film and television critic and journalist for the leading Danish film magazine Ekko. Member of the international panel of critics at the documentary festival Cph:Dox in Copenhagen in both 2016 and 2017 and has been covering Danish as well as Scandinavian and international cinema.

Carolin Weidner

Carolin Weidner (born 1989) is a freelance journalist from Germany, specialized in film and cinema. She studied film studies in Berlin and writes for newspapers and magazines as die tageszeitung (taz) and Spiegel Online. She also gave lectures on German Erotic Cinema in Los Angeles and wrote for publications about German Film of the 50s and 60s. Since 2017 she is part of DOK Leipzig's selection committee. Carolin Weidner is currently based in Frankfurt am Main.

Serge Abiaad

Jury / Sunbird Award Competition for Short Narrative Films

Serge is the co-founder and general director of La Distributrice de Films which he runs with the help and support of his cat, Greta. He is also a film professor. He was born in sunny Beirut and now lives in snowy Montreal.

Marc Boonen

Marc Boonen is artistic director of MOOOV BENELUX since 1992 and selects the films from around the world for MOOOV FILM FESTIVAL and MOOOV FILM DISTRIBUTION. Marc Boonen is commission member of the Flemish Audiovisual Fund, jury member at different film festivals and publisher of a Flemish movie magazine.

Sohail Dahdal

Sohail Dahdal is an award-winning documentary filmmaker and multimedia artist with over 25 years' experience as a leading digital media innovator with a passion for using technology to enhance the power of digital storytelling.

Johnny Andersen

Johnny Andersen (1956) is a Danish producer who has worked in the film industry for more than 25 years. He has produced or line-produced Danish and international feature films such as Pusher 2 and 3 (Nicolas Winding Refn), Fighter (Natasha Arthy), Only God forgives (Nicolas Winding Refn), Man Divided (Max Kestner).

Film Literacy

This group meeting will focus on cinema culture, media literacy and film education among children and youth. They are the next generation of Palestine - the future audiences, citizens and creators. We believe that in order to truly strengthen a film environment, there must be continuity in the production of local (quality) content for kids and youth, combined with film activities in schools and communities.
